Warehouse Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY
Assists in maintaining the company’s warehouses, grounds, product inventory, and tool inventory. Supports the company’s management, purpose, mission, and values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assists with the organization and maintenance of the company’s warehouses. Helps keep a constant eye on product inventory so that the company always has the products it needs for scheduled jobs.
- Assists with the Tool Room’s organization and maintenance. Helps keep a constant eye on tool inventory so that the company always has the tools it needs for scheduled jobs.
- Assists with the company’s grounds maintenance, including the car wash, lawn, parking lot, debris pile, garbage, and rock bin.
- Helps production crews by coordinating delivery of products and tools to job sites as needed.
- Helps with building maintenance issues.
- Assists with the preparation of the company facilities for on-site events.
- Drives for the company in a safe manner.
- Regular, reliable on-site attendance.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
- Knowledge of inventory and procurement practices.
- Knowledge of best practices in warehousing.
- Skill in verbal communication.
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED preferred;
- 1+ years of experience in warehousing, logistics, and/or inventory management; or,
- A combination of education and experience that illustrates a proven track record in this field.
- A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to operate a forklift and bobcat.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS FOR LIFTING, CARRYING, PUSHING, PULLING
- 30% Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Job involves maintaining a stationary position most of the time, yet the use of arm and/or leg controls require exertion of forces greater than for Sedentary Work.
- 30% Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
- 40% Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly or to move objects.
