PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Piles and pile cap plates provided the following design capacities for the following conditions. Shears and bending moments for both fixed and free head conditions. The loads 77K compression, 35K tension and 7K lateral include a minimum factor of safety of 1.5.

With every project there are obstacle to address and this job was no different. The photo in the header shows how versatile helical piles are. 8′ below grade is an 10″ line that we need to be as close as possible. With the use of Hydro-Vac Equipment we were able to install right beside the line without the risk of damage.

HELICAL PILE LOAD TESTING

Test procedures conformed to ASTM D1143-07, Standard Test Methods for Deep Foundations Under Static Axial Compressive Load and/or ASTM D3689- 07, Standard Test Method for Deep Foundations Under Static Axial Tensile Load. Once the load test is completed the frame and anchors are removed and the site is returned to it original condition. As seen in the top right photo. Helical Piles are quick to install, one 30′ Piles can be installed in as little as 15 minutes, ready to be loaded.
